Practice Fusion EMR Certification
Practice Fusion EMR Certification
The Practice Fusion EMR Certification Center is a simple tool to help providers learn about and navigate the requirements of the ONC certification process. It is designed to be used in collaboration with the Practice Fusion EHR / EMR Stimulus Center to ensure that providers have all of the tools necessary to successfully pursue EHR stimulus incentives.
ONC-ATCB certification is required by the ONC and mandated by the HITECH Act. The certification process is designed to ensure that providers and patients can be confident that their EHR:
- Is secure
- Can maintain data confidentiality
- Can work with other systems to share information
- Can perform a set of well-defined functions
The certification criteria adopted during this initial stage establishes the required capabilities and related standards and implementation specifications that certified EHR technology will need to enable physicians to achieve stage 1 Meaningful Use and qualify for EHR incentive payments.
Practice Fusion ONC-ATCB Certification
Practice Fusion is ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 compliant and is certified as an EHR Module in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). The 2011/2012 criteria support the Stage 1 Meaningful Use measures required to qualify eligible providers for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Practice Fusion guarantees that our EHR will be certified as a complete EHR in the summer of 2011 and available to all physicians who want to qualify for 2011 HITECH EHR Incentive payments.
Drummond Group Inc., an Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) Authorized Testing and Certification Body (ATCB) certified fifteen modules of Practice Fusion's EHR system on October 18, 2010. A key step toward our guarantee of Complete EHR certification for 2011 incentives, Practice Fusion was granted certification for eight privacy and security criteria and seven criteria around core Meaningful Use features.
The ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification program tests and certifies that Complete EHRs meet all of the 201/2012 criteria and EHR Modules meet one or more – but not all – of the criteria approved by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) for either eligible provider or hospital technology.
2011/2012 certification conferred by Drummond Group does not represent an endorsement of the certified EHR technology by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services nor does it guarantee the receipt of incentive payments.
